The compact 5-axis gantry CNC machining center RAPID in the upper gantry version was developed especially for shape machining and contour machining of larger parts made of composites, plastics, honeycombs, foams and sandwich materials.

The implemented design with an emphasis on rigidity and the drives used allow us to offer a machine with high dynamics of rapid traverse (80 m/min), but especially acceleration in all axes reaching 5m.s^-1.

These are the parameters that predispose the machine to productive machining and which allow us to shorten production times and eliminate waste times caused by long travel when changing tools.

The machine is capable of working in zone machining mode, including the use of robots for workpiece manipulation.

In addition to the technologies provided by the 2-axis milling head used, the machine can also be equipped with technologies for machining with an ultrasonic (US) knife or a controlled US head, i.e. technology for machining honeycombs and other technologies for the production of sandwich panels used in aviation and transport technology.
